Structured Educational Visit to Schools & Training Seminars in Iceland

This course is included in the Erasmus+ programme.
English Matters's OID number: E10206758

This course is designed for teachers, head teachers, principals and other school staff who would like to learn about the Icelandic Education System, which is considered one of the most interesting in Europe as Iceland, with a literacy rate of 99 percent, is ranked the third most literate nation in the world. The course has a general approach although the pedagogic encounters with schools are focused on PrimarySecondary and Vocational levels. However, participants working with other educational levels may also benefit from the general approach of this course.

This Blended Learning Structured Course efficiently combines pedagogical encounters with schools, seminars, and field projects “Contexts4Content” to places of natural, historical, and cultural significance which will provide insights and ideas for further development of teaching resources for students. The course offers you great flexibility: during the virtual segment you will learn through interactive online live training sessions conducted by tutors and experts. During the mobility segment, you will spend an enriching training period in Iceland, where you will enjoy opportunities to meet and interact with teachers, head teachers, and principals, getting a first-hand experience of the Icelandic Education System.
